I purchased these poles as nordic walking/hiking poles and I have really enjoyed using them on long days. They are lightweight and have a good sharp tip that is especially useful for hiking on rock slabs and scree. I do wish they could collapse down even shorter for really technical hikes – they are small enough to fit into my running vest horizontally but stick out a bit further than ideal for sketchy traverses. They are absolutely an appropriate and affordable choice for hiking/scrambling and I am glad I purchased them every time I use them!
