To start with, I’m not using these for nordic walking but rather “off-label” for skimo racing. The clip in/out wrist straps are saving me a few seconds at transitions, especially if it is cold enough for mitts (which for me is most of these days). I was originally thinking about building a pair of poles with Leki Shark grips that allow for single-handed release and smoother clip-in (and no wrist straps required with matching gloves) but decided that these poles are good enough for me. With added winter baskets they work for my purpose pretty well. Plenty strong and quite light. Surprisingly, the walking (summer) wrist straps are large enough (in size XL) for anything but the puffiest mitts. The poles are compatible with standard KV+ crosscountry “winter” wrist straps as well. My only gripe is that they don’t come in 140 cm length, hence one star off.
