KV+ Tornado Plus Falcon Clip are our leading professional racing poles, featuring Falcon grips, next generation Elite clip straps, reinforced shaft ends and quick-changing baskets with Titanium tips.
Falcon Clip handles are designed so that the strap fixing point is located exactly in the centre of pole shaft, letting you push off the snow with maximum energy efficiency. The strap enters the grip at an angle, facilitating a quicker return of the pole to your palm after each push. The KV+ signature quick-release mechanism is made of special kind of plastic infused with carbon fibres, ensuring ultimate reliability. The handles are covered with synthetic cork for maximum wear resistance.
All KV+ poles come with straps. The ergonomic design of Elite Clip straps gives you full control over the pole and provides ultimate energy transmission to the pole tip while you push. Our cutting-edge clip system allows you to release the pole strap in a second—never struggle with hook and loop straps again. The design is ideal for skiathlon and biathlon races, as well as for streamlining water breaks as you train.
Also for the first time, shaft bottoms are reinforced by Python Twist Technology – an additional layer of carbon bands at the bottom of the shafts, which make poles unbelievably stiff and provide greater rigidity to their most vulnerable parts – near the baskets.
Quick-changing basket system allows you to install larger baskets (which come with poles in addition to small baskets) or roller ski ferrules (sold separately) in a matter of seconds! Titanium tips make racing baskets 1.5 grams lighter than ones with regular carbide tips, providing extremely light swing weight to the poles.
KV+ poles are measured from the tip of the basket (or roller ski ferrule) to the very top of the handle. The distance between the top of the handle and point where strap enters the handle is 4.5 cm
